Knowing that we would be in an intense warfare in these last days with the forces of darkness, Jesus gave us several promises that we would be over-comers of all the powers of the enemy. These promises were meant to sustain us no matter what circumstance we find ourselves facing.

Ever since Jesus has given his power to the early church, God has been exercising His authority through His church body, and us being children of God makes us vulnerable to satanic attacks. Sometimes it feels as though we are wearing a bull's-eye target on our back. Even now Satan is having a board meeting to plan his next diabolical attack against us. It is nothing personal, he just hates us. His sole purpose in life is to destroy us and prevent us from receiving the glorious, eternal destiny God has planned for us with himself.

Everyday as we go about our normal sometimes mundane lives wanting to please God and seek His face, we quickly find ourselves in an invisible war with the spiritual forces of evil. Ephesians warns us that the enemy forces are everywhere, even in the heavenly realms.

We must face the fact that enemy forces are everywhere and our warfare will be with us until the Lord returns and takes us away from here. Until then we must be awake and understand that as we strive to advance God's kingdom and purposes in our lives, Satan increases his efforts against us. So the purpose of this years newsletters is to make you aware of what God says about the enemy and his methods that he plans against us.
It is imperative that we prepare ourselves to effectively stand against him. Nothing must be left to happenstance, our very lives depend on it. Throughout the next several months we are going to define the basics of our spiritual armor and all the techniques we must do to arm ourselves against our enemy.
In understanding our warfare what most people don't quite comprehend is that our warfare is not with people. People are simply the channel or tools that the enemy uses. Our real enemy is lurking in the dark. Peter warns us to be awake and ready for his attacks. / Peter 5:8 (NKJV) "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The devil as Lucifer is an ex-employee of heaven. He was cast out and has been given a limited time to tempt and try mankind.
But remember that God is faithful and will not allow you to be destroyed by his temptations.

The reason he hates you so much is that you are the object of God's affections. He is deceptive, cunning, manipulative, and the father of all lies. His opposition against you is because you are God's potential source of pleasure. He is not your enemy. His real enemy is God. But because he is totally powerless against the Almighty God he attacks that which is closest to God's heart.

His main purpose of warfare is to pain God's heart. To insult him and frustrate his purposes in your life. He wants you to grieve God's heart by causing you to doubt the integrity of God. He wants to sow unbelief into your heart so that you won't fulfill God's purpose for your life out of fear of failure. Remember what Numbers 23:19 says; Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) IV " "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do'.' Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good'^ God wants every miracle he has intended for you to arrive on time and not be hindered by Satan's schemes. So get ready to have the blinders pulled from your eyes in the coming months.
