| This Month's Newsletter"Part 12 Spiritual Warfare: Understanding God's higher purpose"Don Nicely Ministries Newsletter for December Here we are at the end of the year and the end of the series teaching letters on spiritual warfare. I pray that these letters have been some insight into the warfare that is going on all around us as we go about living our ordinary lives. To properly conclude this series out, I feel that there are a few things that you need to know. Always remember that although God will dispatch angels at times to aid us and empower us with strength and the insight of the Holy Spirit, it is ultimately going to be us that is doing the wrestling in spiritual warfare. We must continually have the desire to tap into the divine source of strength available to us through the Holy Spirit. At times our energy level may drop, and we may be tempted to give up, but we must resist and not do it. But instead we should put on the whole armor of God and fight. You may be wondering, just why is it that God demands that we fight. Why would a loving God have us in warfare? Friend God is just using the enemy to prepare us for a higher purpose. God assigns us a destiny to rule and reign throughout all eternity. Can you imagine that? Once we are saved we are to take our rightful place alongside him to carry out his redemptive work on this earth. And God uses spiritual warfare to sharpen our spiritual discernment. Spiritual warfare overthrows our sense of self-sufficiency and aids us in building our relationship of dependence on God. We learn to seek him and his will thus empowering us with an anointing to accomplish it. We as the people of God learn to develop the character of God and are trained in lessons in humility. God resists the proud, but showers grace on the humble. Compassion is one of the manifested fruits from our involvement with the Most High. He takes the same concerns he has for man and places them into our lives as we carry burdens for the welfare of our lost families and friends. 2 Corinthians 4:17 (NKJV)17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, God informs us to become preoccupied with his son-Jesus and his word, and not the antics of the enemy. God then desires that after we be taught how to stand offensively, that we not always be on the defensive. Therefore when the enemy attacks;
We need to have a boldness attitude to fight and take everything that belongs to us. In spiritual warfare we must have spiritual guts to engage the enemy. We must possess the knowledge that God will move all of heaven and earth to see his purpose fulfilled. If we meet God’s conditions as outlined in his word then our victory is assured. Now Go possess your possessions dressed in the whole armor of God and fight to WIN!!! Continued Next Month |
